12-day tour in Morocco from Casablanca to explore the Imperial cities of Rabat, Chefchouen ,  Fes and Marrakech and south of Morocco including the sun dunes of Erg Chebbi, Todra Gorges, Ouarzazate and the heritage fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou. Learn about Moroccan history, culture, traditions and the lifestyle of nomads and experience camel riding over Erg Chebbi dunes.

Day 1: Arrive at Casablanca airport then transfer to your hotel in the city. 

Arrive at Casablanca Airport where you will be welcomed by your driver guide who will drive you towards your accommodation. Overnight in a hotel  

Day 2 : Casablanca to Chefchouen via Rabat  

In the monring , you will start the tour by visiting the hassan 2 mosque in Casablanca then head to Rabat . You will visit the hassan mosque and the Kasbah des Oudaya . You will have lunch in a resturant in Rabat then continue to Chefchouen through the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen, Morocco’s majestic blue city is a must-see for tourists. Known for its charming medina and local handicrafts, you will have the evening to experience all the city has to offer. When you arrive to Chefchouen , you will check into your Riad in the Medina. 

Day 3: Free day in Chefchouen  

This day will be free on your own. Chefchaouen is a small city in the Rif Mountains, in the north-west region of Morocco. Chefchaouen became known as “the Blue Pearl of Morocco” because the buildings, streets, gardens, and walls of the old medina are painted blue. With 24 hours in Chefchaouenyou’ll have just enough time to enjoy this city’s incredible aesthetic, visit some of Chefchaouen’s main sites, and relax. Because Chefchaouen’s blue medina is small, you can see quite a lot within 24 hours. This city has a unique aesthetic, interesting history, and a very relaxed vibe.

Day 4Chefchouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes  

After breakfast at your hotel, we begin our journey with a drive to Volubilis. The ancient capital of the Roman-Berber kingdom of Mauritania, Volubilis is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a large Roman colonial town on the fringes of the Empire. Our tour begins with a visit to this UNESCO world heritage site. After visiting Volubilis, the tour continues to Meknes, the former capital city of Morocco and an imperial city known for its Spanish-Moorish style architecture. Next, we drive to Fes where you will spend the night 

Day 5: Guided Tour of Fes. 

Your guided tour of Fes medina, the largest pedestrian area in the world, will start by exploring its alleys and narrow streets with your Morocco tour’s local guide. The tour includes Al-Karaouine mosque, the world’s first university, the Medersa Bouanania, the tanneries, and various souks. A typically delicious Moroccan lunch will be served in one of the traditional restaurant . Your journey will continue with a visit of the Royal Palace, the Jewish headquarter, the ceramic factory and the Merinid tombs to enjoy the panoramic view of the whole medina of Fes. Overnight in Hotel/Riad BB. 

Day 6: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga. 

After breakfast in your riad we will start our day. The first stop on our journey will be in Ifrane, known as “Morocco’s Switzerland” because of its chalet type summer homes. Built by the French in 1929 as a cool respite during the hot summer months, this town is known for its gardens and tree lined streets. After Ifrane, we drive to the Azrou cedar forest where you can see monkeys in their natural habitat. Our tour continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Midelt for lunch and on through the High Atlas Mountains, into the Ziz valley with stops for picture taking of the panoramas. We will stop to visit the village of Erfoud, an oasis town known for its fossils. Here, you will have the opportunity to do some unique fossil shopping. Finally, we arrive at the Erg-Chebbi dune with an astounding height of 150 meters and where our camels are waiting. After a picturesque hour-long camel ride through the sand dunes, you will arrive at your camp for dinner and enjoy some music by the fireside under the star and moonlit desert sky.

Day 7Merzouga tour  

The next morning you will want to wake up early to enjoy the magical sunrise among the sand dunes. After breakfast we will start our tour around the Erg-Chebbi area with a visit to a nomad family and then on to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet and the home of one of the oldest markets in Morocco. We will visit this ancient souk, where visitors can still experience the true mystique of Morocco. Our tour continues with a visit to the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, third great-grandfather of Moulay Cherif, founder of the Alaouite Dynasty of Morocco. After Rissani we will drive back to Merzouga to have lunch in a small village called Khamlia. In this village you can enjoy Gnaoua music, a traditional North African Music. At the end of the day, you will ride the camel to the camp for an overnight

Day 8Merzouga To the Dades valley via Todgha Gorge  

On your second morning you may choose again to see the sunrise among the sand dunes. After a refreshing shower, you will have breakfast at the camp followed by a camel ride to meet our driver. We begin our drive back to Erfoud and next we are off to a small village called Jorf. In this village you will visit an underground system of irrigation, a marvel of technology from ancient times. After Jorf, we will continue to Todra valley with its beautiful palm orchards and old Berber-Jewish Kasbahs. We will explore the Todra gorges, a splendid series of 300 m deep, limestone river canyons. After lunch in Todra valley we will continue our way to Dades valley where you will spend the night in a lovely hotel 

Day 9The Dades valley to Marrakech Via Rose valley , Ourzazate , Ait Ben Haddou and the High Atlas Mountains  

From Dades, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains back leaving the Sahara Desert part. On our way we will have many stops to enjoy different aspects, the first stop will be in Ouarzazate, famous as Hollywood of Africa due to the big studios where many national and international movies took place. After lunch, we will continue our way to At Benhaddou, declared as a UNESCO world heritage place in 1986, and get famous after some international movies get filmed there, such as Gladiator, Alexander, Game of Thrones… In the afternoon we will cross the high Atlas Mountains through the T’ichka pass 2260 meters altitude)  and get to Marrakech. Overnight in the Riad.   

Day 10: Marrakech guided tour. 

Today is a guided journey specialized to explore the last imperial city of our 11 Days Morocco tour from Casablanca. With our guide, we will explore Bahia Royal Palace, the charming Ben Youssef Madrassa, take pictures of the Kotobia Mosque, have an enjoyable time in the best Majorelle garden. After lunch, we will have free time to walk around the Jamaa Elbla square to enjoy its souks with locals. Overnight at the same Rias  

Day 11Free day in Marrakech  

Free day in Marrakech for shopping and enjoying some relaxing activities such as Hammam and SPA. 

Day 12: Transfer to Airport.
